What People Say

Testimonials

Support coordinators and families tell us the same things matter most: report quality that leads to successful outcomes, clear communication throughout the process, and actually delivering on time. Here's what they've said about working with us.

  • I have seen a lot of FCA and SIL reports, and this would have to be one of the best written assessments I have ever seen. I was a bit unsure initially due to it being telehealth only but so far, I have been impressed (and I’m not impressed easily). Thank you for making this such an easy process.

  • Please thank your team for us, it is one of the most thorough and well laid out reports I have read in a while. I have passed on your details to all my Coordinators to provide as an option to other Participants. The process for referral and assessment along with communication with your team was fantastic. I hope to work with you again in the future.

  • Thank you for sending it through. It’s a great report and I’m sure we’ll be able to get N’s plan increased.

  • That was quick, thank you so much for sending this through, I agree, another amazing report.

  • You have done an outstanding job on the report, and I truly appreciate the effort and impact put into it.

  • Thank you for the FCA assessment for A. I've read the report and your team has done a fantastic job. I'm very happy with it, and I'm sure A will be too. Thank you for writing such a comprehensive and thoughtful report.

  • Thank you so much, your team have been amazing to work with - great communication and sensitivity to participants needs.

Common Questions About Video Call SIL Assessments

FAQs

We know SIL assessments are complex and high-stakes. Here are the questions support coordinators and families ask us most about how video call SIL assessments work and what the NDIA accepts.

  • What types of assessments do you offer?

  • How long does the video call take?

Typically up to 2 hours, depending on complexity.

  • What do I need?

Just a device with internet (a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet) and a quiet space. We’ll send you a secure video link, and there’s no download needed.

  • How quickly can we book?

Usually within 1-2 weeks from referral. We prioritise urgent cases with tight deadlines.

  • Report turnaround?

10-14 business days from assessment to delivery.

  • Can family or support coordinators join the call?

    Absolutely. We encourage it.

  • Does the NDIA accept video call SIL assessments?

Yes. The NDIA fully accepts SIL assessments conducted via video call. These are evidence-based evaluations relying on structured interviews, validated tools, clinical documentation, and information from existing support networks, not hands-on physical assessment. Our senior OTs have completed hundreds of SIL reports via video call with consistently successful funding outcomes.

  • How is a SIL assessment different from an FCA?

A SIL assessment goes beyond a standard FCA. While an FCA looks broadly at a person’s functional capacity across daily activities, a SIL assessment specifically focuses on whether 24/7 support is required, why it is necessary, and what level of staffing is appropriate.

  • Do you offer in-person assessments?

Yes. In-person assessments are available in selected areas across Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. Telehealth is available Australia-wide.

  • Can assessments be completed by telehealth?

Yes. Many Functional Capacity and Home & Living assessments can be completed effectively by telehealth, depending on the participant’s circumstances and assessment needs. Our senior OTs use the appropriate mix of interviews, supporting evidence, assessment tools and clinical reasoning to build a clear picture of the participant’s functional needs. In-person assessments are also available in selected areas across VIC, QLD and SA.

  • Do you support participants in regional or rural areas?

Yes. We support participants Australia-wide, including regional and remote areas. Telehealth is available nationally, with in-person assessments also available in selected areas across VIC, QLD and SA.
